All speakers will deliver a lecture on Tuesday evening followed by a workshop the next day (usually at the 95th street library) except December when there is no workshop.



July 10 2007 – Colleen Wise

Known for creating shadows through different effects – discharging background fabric with bleach, adding darker shades of fabric, adding paintsticks shadows. If you are intrigued by making a 2D surface look 3D, you will love her. Her books include Casting Shadows and her website for more information is www.colleenwise.com.



August 14, 2007 – Pat Speth

Known for her quilts out of 5 inch square exchanges. She is probably the source of the current charm squares fad. Her lecture will be on borders. Her books include Nickel Quilts, More Nickel Quilts, and her website for more information is www.patspeth.com.



September 11, 2007 – Sally Collins

Known for every aspect of precision piecing including but not limited to miniatures. Her books include Borders. Bindings. and Edges and Mastering Machine Piecing and her website for more information is www.sallycollins.org.




October 16, 2007 – Small Quilt Auction

Note that this will be on the Third Tuesday of the month and will be our annual Small Quilt Auction featuring items made by our guild members.



November 13, 2007 – Judy Niemeyer

Known for stunning and sometimes elaborate paper piecing patterns, usually in Hoffman batiks. Her website includes more information about her works www.quiltworx.com.



December 11, 2007 – Trunk Show & Lecture with Rachel Wetzler

Rachel is from St. Charles IL and is known as a prize winning, very versatile art quilter.



January 8, 2008 – Annual New Year’s Party

Includes food by our members, and our Quilt resale shoppe to recycle your gently used items at inexpensive prices.



February 12, 2008 – Robbi Joy Eklow

Known for her fused art quilts, particularly the guitars, fabric designs, sense of humor. Her books include Fabric Expressions and more information about her is on her website www.robbieklow.com.



March 11, 2008 – Edita Sitar
