- Guest Speakers – Mary Mashuta and Roberta Horton. Each is a well-known author and lecturer who have their own style of quilting. Their lecture will be on "Double Exposure: Shared Experience—Different Views". You may have seen Mary and Roberta on Simply Quilts on HGTV and hosted by Alex Anderson in one or more of her focus segments. Instead of a quilt show, Riverwalk Quilters Guild sponsors a quilt gathering every other year. It is an all day event with:
- luncheon
- a nationally known speaker
- silent auction
- demonstrations
- show and tell of your quilt or wearable art (pre-registration required)
- vendors
- quilts on display
- guild quilt challenge
- raffle baskets
- raffle quilt and more
Workshops
The 2007 Gathering is over and we all had a wonderful time. We already have Gathering Chairs for the 2009 gathering and Chairs for the Raffle quilt to be done at that time. So you can see the planning has begun for the next fun time.
